power steering problem

have lost power steering at low revs and idle does this mean a new pump or is their a cheaper fix :y

A new-to-you pump is the way to go I think. A brand new pump from Vauxhall (no  idea of cost, but I would expect it to be expensive) would require new pipe work too.

Check the fluid level is ok, then check that the servotroic fuse and relay are ok.
If they are, its probably the pump.

servotronic can be checked via tech 2, but wouldnt bother with a dealer. Try a tech2 owning member on here if possible.

But being at low revs would suspect pump "i guess"?
My st failed at random revs.
