Petrol Smell
« on: 25 September 2009, 23:47:59 »

Went for a day out to the sexless county today, and on the way home via the A17 went round three roundabouts fairly smartly, and got a distinct aroma of fuel for a few seconds when on the straight again. The tank was showing just under half full.
Any ideas as to why or is it just me?

Sorry to hear that, you'd think with the price of fuel people would want to keep it in their tank.

Could be worth checking under the rear of the car for the fuel filter, the pipes on mine had gone hard and split leaking petrol sometimes :y

Cheers guys had a quick look and all seems Okeh, so I'll presume that because it was momentarily  it was someone in front of me who was leaking the vital fluid.
It would also have been the first time I'd made made a greaser soil his leathers. ;D
