Automatic) Coming to a stop at lights the car will idle nicely for 10 seconds at least then rev up and back down within half a second never does it twice only once each time i stop it will then run a little rough like its going to stall  untill i set off then its fine.
What is the main cause of this again please guys

Check and clean your IAFC, if it still does it afterwards do a paperclip test :y

paper clip it for fault codes as the link at the bottom of Lees post above.
And or clean the idle controle valve, silver mustard pot right of plenum above cable tray. Remove, soak insides in carb cleaner, flush it out and lube with light oil. When refiting make sure you have an air tight seal, esp where it plugs into the plenum,( bit with eco tech printed on it.) as that rubber quite often gives a loose fit letting air in, which may cause the revs to rise.
