abs tc issues

hi all, while up in great yarmouth last week i drove through a large mass of water at speed and my abs tc lights come on plus no speedo and power steering stiff. now this is the weird bit when i park up overnight start the car all the lights are out and runs as normal, but after 20 minutes or so they come back on, this has been happening for the last couple of days now. any suggestions please!!!! :-?

I would check the wiring in engine bay, may be water loged :y

Either the ABS ecu is on the way out or, if you`re lucky it could possibly be the sensor on NSF wheel as that one sends the signal to the speedo

just seems strange that lights only come on after car has basically warmed up..ps did have a quick look at the wiring...

hope it is just sensor, just been reading what a pig of a job the ecu is to do!! :(

If it is ECU, mine was, it is a fiddly job as per the guide, KW did mine - respect and thanks.
The errr good news is when you take off ECU to send to BBA for refurb (great job and quick) the engine/gearbox and power steering still works ok so you dont have to be without whilst waiting.

is it worth checking the fuse is not loose in the holder. 27 is it? from memory, so probably wrong.

NS Rear mate  ;)

Undo abs ecu plug (thats a pita itself) ensure totally dry and spray plug and socket with contact cleaner refit plug.  If it doesn't cure it fraid its abs ecu breaked  :(
