Heated front seats on my 02 miggy not working
« on: 10 October 2009, 10:11:06 »

Hi to you all my heated seats have just stopped working we turned both front ones on last night when we went out they came on no problem then within a couple of minutes they went off they seem to go of when my wife pulled up to a junction on breaking one of the front wheels locked up on a metal drain cover which activated the abs and the traction control light came on like it dose briefly it was then that the heated seats went off and have not come back on i have checked the fuse as it shares with the rear blind and the central locking these are working fine can anyone put some light on this for me please do they have a relay ?
many thanks
Lee

there is a relay for the seat stops them from beeing on all te time, off hand cannot remember were it is but you can hear it somtimes going on and off when seat gets hot. think it under the steering wheel. :y :y

remove the fuse box under the steering wheel and have a look at all the wires sounds like a lose wire or a bad earth, do you have a meter to see if there is volts going to place  :y

if you have a mutimetter would pull off the connection and check out the wires on both sets from the plugin see if it gose to 0.00, if it dose on the wire yu will have to trace it back, if its to the motor then you will need a new motor, m8.
