Hi, mi car has been overheating and I'm trying to find out where is the problem. Thermostat us new.  :questionCould it be just an inadecuate coolant on the system? Dex-cool or similar? Is there any problem about using it?

Which one does the Omega needs?

any antifreeze is better then water.
fan kick down temp ?? meybe sensor on radiator gone and there is problem

Sure any coolant is better than water, and radiator fan seems to be ok,  but I'll try with the addecuate coolant before going to a head gaskets  failure   . In this case..  which are the symptoms?

 Not sure what you guys use out there as its consideraly warmer, but we usually run a 50/50 mix of water and anti freeze which also has lubricating propertys. Which one is not really important so long as the mix is correct. Imho one sort anti freeze would be unlikely to cause over heating over any other sort.

If its run on mostly water for a long period it may have blocked the rad with lime scale. Is it the same temp all across the rad? Any cold spots?

Has the water pump been changed to your knowledge? It may have lost some fins or broken up
in the coolent system.

Its a pressureised system so is the cap sealing ok?

Has the system had a stop leak additive to fix a water leak? Is it possible too much has been added.

Any signs of oil in the coolent or water in the oil or on the dip stick?

Exactly what is the gauge doing? They do run hot sometimes.

There is a drain on the bottom right side of the rad as you look at the engine. Remove under tray iirc.
