Hi Rusty

If the big blank is a double sized one then it will be covering up the positions for TC (traction control), and Aircon/Econ switches.

That means your car wasn't fitted with Aircon, so the discussion about Econ is somewhat meaningless.

The single blank on the left hand side would be where the rear blind switch for a saloon would go. Thing is you will probbly find wiring behind these swiches depanding on what wiring loom they used when building the car. The saloon and estate looms are in two halves, so thats why the rear sunblind wiring would be there, but when it gets as far as the joining connector for the back, that connection will stop.

Rob my rear blind switch is to the right next to the drivers heated seat switch, I have a blank next to the pass. heated seat which is where the TC button should go (mines a manual so doen't have TC). I'm pretty sure the positions never moved between 95 and 99 models.

I think there must be different configurations depending on model and year. Mine is a 99 cdx estate and the only one i'm missing is the rear window blind button for the saloon.

Mines a 99 CDX too. I'll have to move my blind switch then. No blind fitted (yet) just got the button in the hole. It seemed to fit ok though  :-?

I'll edit my original list then :P

On some mini-faceliftts TC/Traction buttons were moved down and were long thin buttons

I could be wrong here but I thought the long thin TC switch were on the earlier Miggys, my old 95 CDX had a long thin TC switch where the coin tray/sat nav is

You will find the other end of the wiring for the blind tucked away up in the top left corner of the boot

Yes, you are right. My '96 had the TC switch next to the radio. The switches moved with '98 models I think. The early Elites had rear door demisters which were operated by a switch in this bank - but its so long ago now I can't recall exactly where it was.

i remember why now, early Elites had buttons for rear side widow de-mist. These were dropped with 98's and so those buttons moved up and sat nav screen put in
