As much as 'my' dealer is a money grabber - £90ish - for plugging their Tech II in to diagnose, I think they charge around £25 for a Car Pass  ;)

A genuine Tech2?  If so, no point having a carpass on a 95 model, as the Tech2 cannot do remote or immobiliser on these, as its too early.

im getting one of these "My Naff Code Reader" Opel Vauxhall Diagnostic Interface FirmwareV1.33, says it dose the lot just that you will need the car pass on a 94-96 omega, upwards it can read the code, dose mid computer as well as gearbox, ecu, air bags and some othere stuff, and works with the disc i have at home TT2000 dianostics disc  all vauxhall from 93 to 2010 (jan).updated for Tec1 and Tec2 and Tec80. :y

Carpass not needed for anything but key programming.  Be cautious using "My Naff Code Reader" for key programming (or any other programming, not that it can do much else) - its a bit flakey and has a habit of buggering up keys.

Certainly not neeed for code reading.

TIS2000 does not interface with "My Naff Code Reader", only genuine GM tools
