Forced up the nearside kerb  when a woman in an oncoming Saab decided she wanted my side of the road on a blind bend. (slanted edge kerbstone fortunately)

I was only doing about 25-30 mph but it was a good bump. Now, I'm getting steering vibration at around 55mph.

What do you reckon? Just lost a wheel weight? Or something expensive gonna be bent?

hopefully it is just the weights but would check the wishbone for any little kinks, also check the rim aint bent which should show up anyway on the balancing machine.

What wheels do you have Alex? I buckled both n/s Irmscher 17s on a craftily hidden pothole. Got out at the roadside and had a look up the inside of the wheel and there was a massive bend in it, looked perfect on the outside.

if your driving a mini facelift mv6, then its most likey buckled wheels

Any car at that speed could buckle a wheel, and/or damage tyre sidewall (get that fully checked by specialist).

If crappy Irmscher prefacelift MV6 wheels, they buckle if you fart near them

I noticed a bump on the tyre sidewall so I got some new front tyres. The fitters reported that the wheel is "very slightly" buckled. "We've seen much worse", they said. Steering shake at 55mph has now gone.

I was going to go to Banbury to get the wheels aligned properly (there was excessive wear on the outside tyre edge) but is there any point with a "slightly buckled" wheel? Can't afford a new wheel just now. Just paid the new tyres and road tax bills.

Put a wanted ad for a single wheel in the test section, one of the admins will move it, won't be pricey either if you can collect
