Climate system
« on: 11 November 2009, 20:31:38 »

Is there a diagram of the climate control system anywhere on here? I've got no hot air on the drivers side and it would be good to see how it's all laid out before I start pulling it to bits.
Any thoughts  gratefully received.

Hi Mate, go to page 3 of 'Maintenance Guides' I think you will find an answer to your problem there, and I guarantee you'll have loads of fun fixing it (not) ;D ;D :y

I would reset the climate 1st.  Also check all fuses (had issues with just a loose fuse in the past.)

Then if that makes no difference have a listen carfully under the dash as you alter the vent settings.  As I belive some of the operations are vacum assisted and it may be a loose or split pite, it may well be motorised.  Other members may well prove me wrong.  (Just something I seem to remember from a thread a while ago)

Watch out for the airbag wiring going to the seats in a facelift. If you disconnect it with the battery connected the airbag ECU will see a fault & bring up a warning light on the dashboard.

You will need someone with Tech2 to reset it (it won't reset itself) & I believe it is an MOT fail if the light is on.
