Have a feel around the back of the cam cover to make sure the big rubber D is seated properly onto the head.
They can be a bit awkward to get seated right.

did this a few days ago.. think its ok i`ve now put carboard so i can see where its coming from and it is just from the r/hand side must be alot when the car is driven there is a lot of smoke as it is burning on the hot plate below it (think these cover some oil pipes)

Definately check at the back of the right hand side bank for the D shape done mine recently and found the right hand side was a bit of a bugger to re-fit and kept knocking the sealent out :-/ :-/ :y :y

Did you clean out the breather pipes?

When I did mine years ago I was told that the covers can warp (mine hadn't) & that I didn't need to worry about the breathers (mine were completely bunged up, especially the aluminium lump behind the drivers side cylinder head)

What Andy said^^^^^
I personally don't think the plastic covers warp - that's just an urban myth bought about by ignorance and/or the fear of finding out why these leaks appear.
