My car is a bomb on wheels at the moment - 70 litres of petrol, and 68 litres of compressed gas!!

good god you have close to £100 in fuel in your car..........

Petrol tank was over £70 to fill... and the gas tank was over £30.. so yes!

Why fill with petrol??

It will go off before it is used

A) If there is a fuel strike, I still need petrol for warmup. So a tankful will last for ages if needsbe.

B) I still need to tweak my fuel mapping, and I'm using a fair bit of petrol in doing so - so thought I may as well have some on board!

I hope it has an effect.

I have just read a report in The Engineer mag stating that there is approx another 4 Trillion gallons of oil left in the world to be mined...but not necessarily the stuff/grade/quality that is currently being mined. To put that in to perspective, since oil mining began only 1 Trillion gallons has been mined. That's a lot of sticky stuff.

the issue seems to be that the useage is increasing rapidly and that is what seems to concern people......

as Clarkson said on TG a few weeks ago, the first person to be able to make a suitable hydrogen store will be onto a good earner....

that will have the petrol producing countries worried

I wouldn't be suprised if the oil nations buy the technology as soon as it is invented so that it can't be used.

That's what happened with Man-made diamonds.
