Error code P1130
« on: 17 November 2009, 14:54:20 »

P1130 translates as problem with O2 Sensor 1.

Right?

Any wise words before I have a go at the lambda sensor?  ;D
The code wont reset so I figure it is well and truly fritzed.
Would/Could also explain my rough running at start up.

Warmest regards,
John

Update...

I started messing with the lambda sensor (the one visible in the engine bay), trying to feel around the back for the connector.
Just wanted to prove I could get to the plug before I ordered the part  :D.

Anyhow... long and short of it... the engine light has now gone out and I'm not getting the code any more!!

I'm thinking wiring short.

Does anyone have any experience of replacing lambdas? I'm not sure whether to go for the direct replacement kind or the
generic ones (that come without the plug)..

Thanks in advance for any wise words,
John
