Bit of a strange one - I tend to drive quite economically (or so I thought
) but I've just bought this 2.5 Auto and the display says I'm doing around 15-19mpg through town. This (as expected) goes up drastically when using cruise control on the motorway.
My question really is are these really that accurate? It's just 15mpg sounds ludicrous to me! I have to admit the car is a bit of a shed so I imagine it isn't running very efficiently but still, 15!
Thanks
Stopping and starting the MPG soon drops down, so around 19 doesn't sound far wrong to me being honest. If you put your foot down you can see 7mpg

The other thing there is an Instant MPG (think it says instant :-?) which shows what your doing at that time, plus the Actual MPG which will tell you what you have done over your trip.
So have a look at both mate, so people dont reset the Actual one so they get an idea of what MPG they have got over several thousand miles.
Hope that helps
