Airbag light on
« on: 22 November 2009, 19:30:47 »

Any one help out with a suggestion or two?

Got back in the car the other day and closed the door (drivers - yup me driving) and the airbag light came on straight away. :(
Tech 2 finds where but can't reset - comes back on when engine running again
Tech 2 said something like:
'Drivers seat circuit showing too much resistance'

does this mean wires touching or connection(s) not being made properly?

Any ideas for where to start looking?
Connections under seat/ behind seat trim?
Wiring under door sill?
Should I also check the wiring/skin behind the door trim too?

Can anyone help me out, please? :y

mean poor electrical connections between ecu and airbag squib in seat.

This could be damaged cables under seat, or there is a known problem with the connectors on squib itself.

If you remember exact code, that would be useful, as it could also be the pretensioner...

Cheers,
I'll have a look for the readout paper and get the code.

TB - the exact code on the read out is:  77

Hope this makes sense
