Needing a few jobs
« on: 25 November 2009, 10:27:46 »

Hi all

Well i think i have a few jobs needing doing shortly  :-/ ... car tramlining so i'll assume i'll need either wishbones or steering idler or both as nothing else has been touched such as tyres etc  .... can i have a few pointers as to which brands to buy or avoid ...which brand of wishbones are good ?
I can buy the parts but i think wishbones and idler would be above my capabilities so would be a garage job :-/
Does anyone north of the border know a good place to have the camber checked after these jobs get done ... probly wont be for a month or two though  :y

Thanks

Do the wishbones need doing or is just the bushes that are gone, Turks thread on polybushes is an interesting read :y

As for steering idler DO NOT use pattern ones as they are s**t just do a search on flea bay about thirty quid should get you a decent one. :y

Im not sure if the wishbones are shot or not but the car seems to have started tramlining quite badly lately and has a very slight knocking at front end , i have just had the drop links done but its still there although not as bad as before .... i did see some on ebay but just wanted to make sure i avoid the bad ones  :y

IIf you can slide under the car give it a go, not sure if the wheels need to be under load but don't think so  :)
