Running temp on a 4 pot
« on: 28 November 2009, 23:23:07 »

Anyone know the normal running temp on a facelift 2.0. Mine sits between 75 and 80. Is that about right :-/

too low, sounds like a sticking stat, mine did the same. Replaced it, and it always runs bang on 85 now  :y

Would that contribute to my heater problems?

Theoretically, if the stat is malfunctioning, could it cause coolant loss through evaporation due to boil off :question

Yours is running sub 80 most of the time, so no, it can't do that cause it can't boil  :)

No.....and even if it was only getting to 70 degC then you will still get hot air.
