Total Vauxhall Magazine
« on: 13 December 2007, 22:15:44 »

When Total Vauxhall magazine was first published a few years a go, I bought a couple of copies.

Did not find it very interesting at the time, it was mainly about blue LED backlit boost pressure gauges and oilpipeline-size rear boxes.

However I did buy the December issue, and was pleasantly surprised. There is still a lot of the former, but also some articles which I found of interest:

In the main feature they pitched five Lotus Carltons (all black, for some reason... were they made in other colours as well?) against the new VRX8. I am not telling which was faster....

Then they have a ongoing project where they are transplanting a 3.0L engine from an R-Reg Omega into an old cavalier 4x4.....

And for hotel21, there is a piece about Vectras in the service of Scottish Traffic Police....

No doubt will be corrected, but I thought all Lotus Carltons were dark metallic British Racing Green?

Donnow... but as you can see from the cover (in the background) the five featured here are black... and I was quite surprised to find out that the going rate for a good one is around 20k....
