Help
« on: 08 December 2009, 18:58:22 »

Hello All,

I have a 1994 2L Auto Omega,
I have had the rocker cover changed for a new one. there is a cable going across the top front of the rocker cover.

Can anyone tell me what this cable is ? and what it does, since the rocker cover has been changed i have had the engine management light on and i have less throttle response than normal.

Thank you very Much.

the said cable is part of your throttle chamber if you follow the cable to the left it should have a plug on it ! it goes in to connector near to the air flow meter .you will probily find they have left it unplugged plug it back in .should stasrt first time and your engine management light will go out ! hope this helps ? pete :y

Thank you very much Pete, wow really fast response,
Just doing some research on this again, what do you know about the lambda sensor, and could this lambda sensor be the cause.

Thank you very much once again.

I would have thought that given your symptons it`s the cam sensor cable that`s been damaged. If you do the paperclip test
you will probably get a code 92 given the age of the vehicle.

Could one of the admins move to "Omega general help" please.
