Help with mates Omega

Hi Guys
Posted this on the VX section but thought i would post here as i know you guys are rather clued up.

My mate has asked me if i had any ideas what was wrong with his car as i have some basic mechanical knowledge.

He owns an Omega 2.5 Auto he has made me aware of a couple of problems that he has with it.

1st one is the fact that when the car gets up to temperature the ABS and traction lights come on and then the speedo stops working this is about 15 mins after driving and the car warming up. Any thoughts, the only thing i can think of is a blocked air flow-mafsensor or something.

The 2nd thing is the car now and then will cut out. He will have to leave it off for about 5 mins before it will restart, this too i think could be to do with the air flow

Anyone point me in the right direction would be great.

1st problem is likely to be the ABS ECU is fubar'd

Have yu done a paperclip test or had a code reader on the car for any possible fault codes? :y http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1236032406

do a paperclip test and have a look in maintenance section which problems it refers to

Hi guys done the paperclip test with engine running and not other codes come up other than the (1-2) 12 3 times, whats next do you think, if got someone to read codes would it just be the same, no codes

1st problem - ABS ECU sounds like its given up
2nd problem - Crank sensor, use geniune parts when replacing this
