Main beam and wing mirror!
« on: 27 December 2009, 14:58:35 »

Hi
Been on here before asking about better bulbs for main beam ('03' estate) as have HID dipped beam and am looking for a white or whiter main. Fitted '90 %' brighter from Halfords, and to be honest , can't see the difference!
Also, anyone know how to strip the plastics off a wing mirror without breaking the lugs so I can spray them to match my car colour? Got a nice secondhand one from a member on here and don't want to wreck it if I can help it!!

Thanks,

Ed. :)

As for the mirrors, I had a pair I was going to strip & paint. managed to get one to bits, but gave up on the other one. I do have some pics if they are of any use to you. I can't remember the sequence though, just that you start by pushing the mirror forward, then inserting something in a slot. Let me know if you want the pics.

As advised Nightbreakers, or if price is not an issue a pair of PIAA's.

Which ones from this list do you recommend?

Lets of course assume we just want the *best light* and not strictly for road use.  :P
