Confession to start 2010
« on: 31 December 2009, 08:18:19 »

Hello - my name is Steve and, er .... well, how can I put this ... (deep breath) .... I always take my car to a main Vauxhall dealer.  There - I've said it.  Feels so much better to get it off my chest.

But I've realised that there are people out there who really understand, and love, Omegas.  But who are they?  Can I trust them with my pride and joy?

I've an ABS ECU playing up and really don't have the skills to attempt - I've no garage for one thing!  So, do you know anywhere near Sheffield where they will look after my baby properly?

Happy New Year!

Read the Maintenance guide section, you will be amazed at what you can achieve yourself, even if you've never held a spanner in your life.

There's always someone on here that can help you out, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that the job has been done properly.

Take the advice you get from here, they have assisted me no end.
Do not be sucked in by the Main Dealer crap waffle either. They are not the be all and end all of the game because some dont know their ass from their elbow. 3 problems they could not diagnose, let alone sort out were resolved by me with the help of the good people on here. All the dealership did was make excuses and charge me for the pleasure.
Do the right thing by your motor though and buy genuine parts as I do. They are more reliable, always fit as they should and are also longer lasting by far.

Hi Steve,

Take a look here http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152729807.

Can anyone advise if this is the same for the facelift model?

Cheers,

Rob.

Not a fun job. Did mine last month.
And yes, mines a facelift and was exactly same procedure as in the maintenance guide.
