tappet noise? should I have concern?

this is the car I have just agreed to buy on ebay.

should I have concern about the tappet noise? im meant to collect today, is there anything else I need to look for?

Looks decent in the ebay ad. pics.

Has the oil and filter been changed recently?
Use 10W40 Vauxhall semi synth.

apparantly its had a rebuild? so I would presume so.

im not going to buy it anyway, i just hpi'd it and the last owner change was 2005, I asked about this and he has no proof of ownership (v5) as I have close family in the police I couldnt do a deal without it, they would rip me a new arsehole.

you want post 1998 Elites, massive spec upgrades and updated engines  :y (the 3.0 got a snooped plenum to aid breathing, and seem to remember it had a few other bits and peices compared to the older lump

as above ive not bought it as it came to light after the auction that he hadnt got proof of ownership. found a few more now anyway :y

I agree with this, just fitted a vx filter and filled her up with vx 10W40 semi and the car runs quieter and smoother!!
