Uprated sports bushes ???
« on: 05 January 2010, 17:13:38 »

My friends modified mv6 is due to go on the road in the next few weeks and im looking for some upgraded parts to help cope with the extra torque.
Im looking for some uprated diff carrier sport bushes ????
koni suspension and brembo brake kit all done just the diff bushes to go.
Tbh i reckon the diff will be very short lived , dont know its power handling capabilities but i know his driving style !!!
I have tried polysport and polyflex with no joy , i would solid mount it but he wants to try the sport bush method.
Any help or info greatly appreciated.

2 sets of diff bushes. cotton real type things set into the diff that controle movement for and aft, or the u shaped brackets at the back that control side movement?

either way afaik the answer is, er , no!

only poly bushes i know of are rear sub frame donut bushes. poly flex do them but you have to ring and order as they are not listed on tweb site.

Mark dtm once mentioned diff bushes and that the cotton real ones are a bitch to change, and that he had an idea to remove the rubber from the u shaped ones and make polly inserts.

would be interested if you find a product that works for the u shaped jobys. hth

it was doing 300 + on turbo but it was a case of all or nothing , the super was great as a nice even power band and sounded mad , actually the conversion was pretty easy with great results but he gets bored easy !!     at least i can still super the 5.7 if he gets bored but in the state of tune at present the 5.7s in now should be @ 500 bhp and 400+ ft lb so i can see me ditching the diff set up in favour or something more durable.
The insurance companies dont seem to like it , with the cheapest being around 1.5 K  :o
