Easy to find in the maint index  ;)

Thanx Tunnie - lazyness rules ok  ;)

Know how to get it out - just wanted confirmation that plenum could stay on - more interested in a time from one who has done this - particularly in this cold snap !!!

Remove scuttle but not plenum and get a pair of those special pliars to remove the hose clips. About an hour with a lot of stretching!

Took me 20 minutes in all. Dead easy and no skin loss for once. Hardest part was getting the top lip of the scuttle back under the windscreen seal.
Give it a good run and bleed off afterwards with the Vac pipe off the HBV to make it stay wide open. Cabin temp set to maximum. Replace when it has been fully air bled and topped up to its correct level with coolant.

Bit of a stupid question - but do you have to drain the cooling system totally or just top up what was lost?

Well changed the HBV on the Estate today and I've got the scars to prove it - just over the hour (I take my hat off to Jimbob with his 15 minutes!!).  Bl**dy awkward thing to get at even with skuttle off - b*gger to get the hose clips moved back and also a b*gger to get the pipes off the old one (welded on?)

Fitting new one much quicker, top up water, allow to bleed and test run - all ok so far!!
