Recently in our local rag a 55yr old man & his wife were attacked by 7 youths whilst on thier way home from an anniversery meal. The man had hospital treatment as he was hit with bits of wood.
     NOTHING was stolen....WHY?   My parents are'nt much older than this. What would you do?

Sorry to hear about the trouble you had. I know its said you should just hand over whatever the scumbags ask for but I think I would have tried to fight them off as well the only thing is you dont know what they are carrying these days.

Guess we better get used to this, law and order is crumbling and the goverment is more intreted in funding immigrants than cops on the street. Oh and the prisions are full anyway.

Thanks ever so much for all your kind words.  It is parts of life like this forum that make you remember there is plenty of good out there still.

I sort of slept last night, and my eye is not as black as I thought it would be.  Few bumps on my head but nothing too serious.

I am still here and live to deal with the next adventure!!

Having experienced this, and traveled around in the police car last night listening to their radio, I had no idea that violence was so prevalent in our society.

It certainly makes you think.
