Sorry to hear this...
Yes, could have been much worst...
I read about a town in the US where all adult males have to carry a gun by law. You would have thought this to be a very violent place? On the contrary, they have almost zero crime.... maybe it's an urban myth (I read it on the 'net so it must be true
), but you can't help thinking that our personal safety is no longer what it used to be...
yeah thats true, seen it in documentary's a few times, it does make sense though, in this shit country if someone breaks into a house, they know they cannot be hurt by the occupier and if you do they are they can sue them, so its a win win situation. whereas if they were about to break into a house where they KNEW the person had a firearm and the right to use it, i guarantee you they would think twice
Really sad to read this. Something has to be done about this level of violence on our streets.
yeap, and the only possible way i can see of it ever improving is if the law is taking into your own hands!
Recently in our local rag a 55yr old man & his wife were attacked by 7 youths whilst on thier way home from an anniversery meal. The man had hospital treatment as he was hit with bits of wood.
NOTHING was stolen....WHY? My parents are'nt much older than this. What would you do?
i stopped something like this happening, unfortunately we were a little late but managed to stop to junkies beating the crap out of some guy coming home from the pub, we were moving house, driving through the center of a town only a few hundred yards from the COUNTY police station. guy got jumped from behind, hit over the head with something, 2 junkies started jumping over his head and kicking while he was on the ground, then they dragged him onto the road, we were about 4-5 cars back, i came up, horn on, full beams, pulled the handbrake, screeched to a stop, my girlfriend jumped out (baring in mind she is 4"10) n ran up to the junkies with me close on her tail, one of them went to go for her so i flew at him n he backed off, (we were on a bridge n he was going in the water if he tried anything) then the other junkies seen what was happening n ran off leaving this guy in the middle of the road ko'd. by this point my g/f was on to the phone to the police, the easiest way to describe the location as "next to paisley police station" 15 oppsing mins later, no police in site, we had got the guy up, he was seriously concussed and wanting to fight with the guys who jumped him (natural fight of flight reaction) after another 10 mins of calming him down and reasoning with him, (this was 25 mins n her majesty's pathetic police force still hadn't shown face!) we then seen the 2 junkies coming back with friends and weapon's, so we had no choice but to give this complete stranger a lift home only to find out his wife was 8 month pregnant and as soon as she seen him she broke down.
Now the worse thing about it is i have a LOT more story similar to this, which all seem to revolve around me and my friends having to do the job the shite police force cant because theyre too busy chasing around kids for writing on lampposts or hiding in a bush waiting to catch someone speeding, all so they have a bit of paper showing they have prevented "crime" shame they dont mention they crime they are preventing is a pathetic joke for crime! (when i refer to the police i generally mean the force, not the officers! i have friends and family in the police and know they are just as frustrated as me)
sorry for the rant lol
