Heating staying on after key removed
« on: 18 January 2010, 12:17:03 »

Hello folks does anyone know why the aircon/heating stays on for a few seconds after I have removed the key from the ignition and the display for both passenger and driver temp controls shows -- ? Probably another job to add to the growing list of expense I would imagine!

The climate control staying on for a few seconds after swithch off is perfectly normal.

The -- and -- is a fault and one or two people on here have that problem, myself included. I find it only does it in winter time on my car, but everything on the climate controls works perfectly.

I have just learnt to live with it.

Thanks mantahatch looks like a new panel might cure the problem or tech 2,I can't afford either at the moment and as the car seems to keep a good temperature inside so I think it can wait for the moment.(Unlike many other jobs that need doing to the car !)
