Where is the 4 pin brake switch located?
« on: 25 January 2010, 12:55:21 »

Installed a cruise control kit on mine today from one I was breaking, where the hell is the brake switch located?

I have read the guide here.... http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1166374649 which is excellent.

My car is a Facelift 3.0 MV6, the kit from a 2.5 V6 CDX pre-facelift fits perfect, it took me 30 minutes to fit, it doesn't work I am assuming I need to install the 4 pin brake switch for it to work? I would If I knew where it was lol.

It doesn't! They both use a mechanical cruise control, you're refering to later drive by wire cars which just need Tech II to enable cruise control.  ;)

I fitted cruise to my Miggy; following that excellent guide....
I bought a second-hand cruise actuator and stalk but got a new VX 4 pin brakelight switch (about £12.): the switch is a swine to get at (IIRC- I had to remove the driver`s foot-well hot air duct to even see the top of the pedals) and I ended up reclining-flat the driver`s seat and lying on it: face-up with my head touching the pedals and my feet on the headrest.....must`ve made quite a sight! ;D

.....the cruise works brilliantly. :y
