As the title states, I am pretty well annoyed at two things at the moment.

Firstly as the auction cost that I was offered for my omega recently, apparently its not what ppl are looking for, big engined car.

The second at this very web forum for not allowing me to advertise my car for sale to people who live, love and enjoy the Vauxhall Omega, just because I don’t have over 50 post messages…..

All I wanted was for me to Part Company with my car to someone here on this forum to enjoy her like I have for the past 5 years.

I did post a message that lasted all of 10 minutes before admin deleted, without notice or explanation

So what options am I left with, well its either take the trade in, put it on an auction site, or dismantal and sell the parts… seems like a good Idea… probably get more money for her.

Now Im life pondering what to do with her
Personally, if a post clearly breaks the rules - which are posted at the top of every single section on OOF - then I will delete it without contacting poster. I do not feel I need to waste my (limited) time on OOF explaining something that is a clear breach of the rules. If I moderate a post and I feel it may not be clear why, I will try to contact the poster.

Without wasting time trawling through the logs, I can't say who deleted it. It may have been me, could have been one of the others. But not really relevant, as the Admin Team 'act as one' when it comes to moderation.

The reasons why we have had to implement a draconian post count limit have been covered many, many times before, but results from previous abuse of these sections  :'(.  These rules are not flexible, as if we bend them for one person and not others, we then get in trouble for being unfair.

Good luck with the sale of your car, wherever that may be, and I hope your new chariot serves you equally as well :)

Read the note asking you to read the rules which is posted at the top of every OOF page!
How on earth can you be annoyed at OOF because you did not read the rules? For all the moderators knew it could have been your intention to do a quick sell and then disappear! That is the reason the rule was implemented in the first place. They did right to remove it because the rules are there for all of our protection and are equally applied to everyone.
Take 5 minutes and read the rules, if you don't agree with them you can always unsubscribe at which time it will be your loss.
For the time it would have taken for you to post 50 entries as a regular forum visitor which would have then allowed you to post your advert and stay within the rules your complaint is not really a valid one anyway.  Don't be so petty!
