little springs on the brake pads
« on: 02 February 2010, 09:14:16 »

Please forgive the daft question but on the front pads there are what looks like a type of spring. When you fit the pads do you squeeze the spring together into the opening or do you just push it up against the inside of the caliper?

Cheers.

Although the pads have less than 1500 miles on them I think one of the springs is about to break off - Must have put it in wrong!

Does it matter if the spring is missing?
