dead stop

right here we go. driving along today without warning the ol 3.0l just stopped. pushed it to a layby waited 10mins and it restarted drove for 200yrds stopped again and just kept doing this. got towed home and it ran on tickover all the way bout 15miles and stopped again waited 10mins and it restarted? any ideas! iam looking at either crank sensor or dispack?  its a 3.0l mv6 auto est. >:(

dose it have any fault codes?

so looks like i have the choice but as its all on that side will change both got a dispack i thing am ordering sensor on monday from autovaux{dam good people}

Just make sure its a Genuine VX part and not a new for vauxhall pattern part as these tend to fail pretty quickly  :y

I'd go with crank sensor, if it was the dis pack it might be down a couple of cylinders :y

All the ones i've ever replaced (and its quite a few) tend to cause a miss fire but the car still runs.
