One for the math experts
« on: 20 December 2007, 09:59:25 »

I have just started driving petrol tankers and the firm I'm with has the Tesco delivery contract (NOT the refining and 'brewing' contract)

Tesco has 6,000,000 yes 6 million litres of fuel delivered each day every day.

Now the Government take on average 70p-ish per litre in fuel tax

So just by Tesco let alone alcohol, tobacco, income tax etc through one retailer the Government are taking in just under £4,500,000 per day every day of the year.

What do they do with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????????????
