a car at 190K miles with many owners , if not serviced properly with proper coolant mixture  at normal periods can eat HG easily !!

in that case I would not worry much about oil in water..

have a compression test.. and although some may not agree, there are analysers that can sniff the gases from coolant tank which also give some idea and if also you have missfires dont spend extra on that car before some experienced oofers see the car and approve!

Last time I check oil before I put car for MOT in January, all this was started after I pick up car from garage, meaby they do somethink wrong with car

I would suggest filling the oil to the top mark of the dipstick and then check it weekly especially on an engine with that sort of mileage. Its normal for an engine to wear with use and a bit of oil being burned off is normal. I would get the oil cooler checked though.
