Anyone have any idea why i'm only averaging around 15mpg when i'm driving the car really easy and not revving at all hardly. I had an m3 that was better on petrol than this and various other cars including a 5.5 litre AMG merc??
The car is running fine can't find any fault, just really really poor mpg. Yesterday I put in £20 i've done 65 miles and the petrol light is blinking, now thats not just thirsty it's insane for a 2.5 litre.  :o :'(

Is it getting up to temp?

Valve timing correct?

Ignition system in good order?

Brakes Binding?

Leak?

No leaks, brakes ok, dunno about valve timing, dunno about ignition sys, temp seems ok i mean the car seems fine to me although i'm no expert so that's not to say there ain't a problem but it really does seem ok apart from the MPG

Just got back from Dudley, and on the round trip in all types of traffic conditions mine just averaged 27 mpg, and it has just been fully serviced. Normally I only get 18, but I only do a couple of very short return trips a day of around 5 miles each.

I would expect to see that on a 2.6, on my work commute (A43/M40/M4) its 95% motorway, and i struggle to get 27mpg with cruise set at 80mph on the 3.0
