Well that burst the bubble. No such luck for a easy fix then! or just to get going for now

before you go hitting the starter make a direct earth from the battery i.e. connect a jump lead to the block at the lifting eye and put the other end on negative this well rule out bad earth or duff starter i,d earth the ecu as well

Thanks to the helpful knowledgeable ones for this one... as it turned out it WAS the battery.... i felt like a right twit when just as a tester i would try jumping it off my mates car and vroooom she fires up ! Still it saved me some dosh and i learnt to try the obvious even if it shouldnt be on a less than year old battery! Once again chaps.. thanks
