omega c 2.5 v6 elite power steering fault

hi guys just bought an omega c 2.5 elite when cold in the morning for example power steering works fine but after ten minutes when warm extra revs have to be applied to get the steering pump working there is no leaks and fluid level is fine could the fluid be worn / contaminated etc ? thanks kev

Welcome to the mele!
It sounds like your pump is on its last legs, not too difficult to change with a 2nd hand pump.

PS you have a facelift Omega B, Vauxhall didn't get as far as making an Omega C before they droopped the model!  :y  :y  :y

in cold in the morning, give it a few more revs does it get better? Most likey a tired pump.  :y

Also for reference there is no such car as an Omega C, only Omega B  :y

thanks guys thought the pump was on its way just thought it was an omega c as thats what it was listed under for sale lol oh well least i now know its a B facelift thanks again guys for the rapid responses  :y

take it the pump would have to come off a facelift 2.5 v6 or would a pre facelift fit as engines look almost identical

You can use a pump from an earlier car, they're the same. I believe it's only the very late cars that use a different pump, but the associated pipework would be needed too. :y

thats great thanks mate need to get this fixed asap as no steering = no good lol :y
