VX Condenser prices
« on: 23 February 2010, 16:24:19 »

Does anyone know the price roughly of an a/c condenser? I've been quoted £560 here. :o :o ;D

Other question is the condenser and drier is available on ebay for around £150. I don't suppose anyone has any experience of transporting a condenser on a plane? Done headlights and foglights before.

One last question, how would you know if it your evaporator that has failed? Or is that unlikely?

Thank you.

Try these people mate - http://www.carcooling.co.uk/catalog/Vauxhall_Omega_B_94_03-2348-1.html

I had a heater matrix off them - good quality, fast delivery, fitted ok, no probs to date  :y

Ala this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OMEGA-B-CONDENSER-RADIATOR-RECEIVER-DRIER-16-6554_W0QQitemZ320452923600QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4a9c7b90d0

I would say it would fit in a suitcase.....nothing nasty in it, its alloy and some desicant!

As for evaporator failure, you would know due to the gas escape into the cabin and UV dye plus oil over the screen!

Evaporators are not known to fail...
