I hate...
« on: 21 December 2007, 17:45:32 »

Amazon
Order stuff ages ago for Christmas, all in stock. As they couldn't be bothered to deal with it until last minute, so use a courier.  Now they assured me it would arrive today. Obviously it didn't.  When I called at 3pm, and again at 17:10, still guaranteed before 6pm.  Now the scumabgs haave absolutely no idea when it will turn up.  Apparently the best they can do is get the courier to call me 'within the next 24hrs'. Tossers.

Play
They deliver on time, but the wrong stuff. Little chance of getting that sorted before Christmas now.

beyondtelevision.co.uk
Absolutley unwilling to lift a finger to help get my TV that I bought from them fixed.

Samsung
Unable to even begin to let me know when (ie, possibly this year?) they can call me to arrange a time for an engineer to look at my poorly TV.

He he. If they would send an engineer it would be fixed in no time. As it is, they'll send a muppet like I had to sort out my PC at work that was intermittently failing to work. Removed case and it worked (I said it was intermittent). Diagnosis? Case must be at fault since it worked without it  >:(

Do you know who's delivering it Jaime?
If its HDNL I might be able to get you the depot number, they should be able to give you a more useful response.

I had a TV engineer here once.

Updated the software, swapped over the audio L-R R-L and a few other hardware mods.

I got a new Sky+ box recently but the fan was really noisy so asked for a replacement unit.  The original installer came from Glasgow.

New man comes arrives, speaks poor English, turns out he has travelled up from London after flying in from Poland and he was a Romanian coming to replace my faulty unit at 9.00 am as promised. Wow  :o

I only paid £49 for the thing in the first place. :)

It is HDNL, and I was guaranteed a call from them this evening. I told the stupid bint at Amazon that I didn't believe they would.  Some poor thicko at Amazon is going to get very upset tomorrow morning - they really are a shower of shits  >:(

TV - The actual 3rd party repair 'engineers' sound pretty good - I have spoken to them on the phone, and they seem curteous, understanding, and caring.  Which is more than I can say for Samsung.  And the kindest thing I can say about the head honchos at beyondtelevision.co.uk is that painful torture is too kind  >:(

Do you know which depot delivers to you mate? Looking at the map your between Leamington Spa 01926 311517 and Hitchin 01462 421336.
Assuming Amazon have supplied you with a tracking number the depot will be able to tell you wherabouts track & trace thinks your parcel is. Our depot is working Saturday, Sunday and Monday and I would assume your local depot will be the same so there's a good chance of it being delivered prior to the festivities. Any probs let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the offer - mine looks like Daventry.  Thing is, as they have already missed the promised date, who knows when it will arrive.  And I really need to go in to office of Monday, and really need to pop out today.  So staying in on the offchance that they may deliver is not really possible.  If someone can give me a definate yes or no, that would be a start.

We have real trouble with couriers around this way.  One particular outfit, Amtrak, has a 100% failure record for delivering to me on the promised day. And we're not just talking about one or 2 failures here either.  Most courier companies use same excuse - van broke down, accident etc.  Amtrak once told me the truth - ran out of time in the day.

It may be a bit rural round here, but its not exactly the back of beyond  >:(

Said parcel now turned up :y

Unlike the promised callback before 10:30am from Amazon.  I knew the supervisor had no intention of calling me back, as when I asked her to quote back the number to call me on, she couldn't, and I had to repeat it again.

Useless bitch. Useless company.  If she had been UK based (think they are based in France?), I would have driven over to Ridgemont and educated the bitch.

Yes there are loads of complaints about Amazon customer services promising the earth then not delivering, mind you I hear our customer services line isn't much better. Best bet is ringing the depot they should know what's going on with the delivery and give a more accurate delivery schedule.
Don't know about Amazon cs but the parcels come from their warehouse near Glasgow, got a mate up there who trunks em down to Shaw sort centre every night.
Least you've got your stuff now so I soppose we've beat Amtrak  :).

Last time I ordered any Christmas stuff from Amazon they delivered it to my previous address (despite me entering my correct address when placing the order). Had to go round and get it...  >:(

I decided to brave the shops this year, and I must have picked a quiet day because it wasn't too bad.
