What is this?
« on: 26 February 2010, 20:02:59 »

Was having a play with the car today and noticed this wire coming out of the bonnet not leading anywhere.
Any Ideas what it is?

Heated washer jets. Our connection (on the other side of the car ) is just under the lid of the pollen filter.  ;)

Errr to stop the jets freezing in the winter?  ::)

Using correct 50/50 mix in screen wash, main tank, and feed pipes won't freeze, but the jets can do, so they are heated.

:D I was thinking it was heating the streams of water onto the windscreen,, not the washer jets themselves...
That I can understand..

Still, I drove a little old Skoda Faba all around europe this holiday in constant days of minus temperatures, and not once did the washer jets freeze up and not work :P
