No tc or abs problem
« on: 26 February 2010, 13:27:51 »

Just flashed on and staying on now after a few days of flickering on and off. I guess this is the ecu problem? Anyone know any one who can replace it in Newcastle area?

Any thoughts? It's the pump going all the time which has me confused, noone else seems to have had that. Same tc abs light and no speedo just with a constant pump. Could it be a relay?

Its the abs ecu. Be sure to get one from the same year, model and transmission designation as yours. There is a how to guide here. It can be done but its bloddy fiddly!

Just waiting for replacement ecu to arrive but something weird has happened. Got my steering back and speedo but no abs or tc and lights are on still. Makes a funny whirring noise when I start it up though.

I think I'll replace the whole unit, not just ecu ?

:o  :o  :o  You'd need a TechII or similar to pulse the ABS modulator to bleed it all if you do. Air is notoriously difficult to purge through/from the modulator.  :y  :y

Oh god this just gets better  ;D

just been out this afternoon in it and it's all working 100% again, no lights! Still don't trust it but my theory of bust modulator can't be right, it's got to be a dodgy ecu

Agreed dodgy abs ecu - sometimes they will appear to work ok for a while but once they start going they will pack up all together  ;)
