For my peace of mind
« on: 03 March 2010, 21:52:09 »

I have just completed my first cambelt, water pump change (second for car 74K).
Followed the DVD to the letter, checked tensioner twice. Will I need to check it again, if so, when. How many miles does the car have to cover before it (cam Belt) is classed as used.
Have not started car yet, forgot antifreeze :'( :'(

Did you replace the whole kit, including tensioner and idlers?

Change interval is 4 years or 40000 miles

To do: Replace brake discs and pads; adjust already replaced shoes; check for leaks in oil cooler, cambelt area, crank seals, sump, dipstick; replace osf door; replace a tyre; clean, MOT.
