help big time

  where do i start ,i nipped down to see  mark to reset my codes on my car ,once done would not tick over very well at all ,mark bless him cleaned the throttle body and still would not go well .
  anyway on the way home eml light came on and came to a stop ,reset the codes with my rac obd2 reader .managed to get to my dads in carlton where it has been left ,
Any ideas plz  :'( :'(

As said yesterday....its the MAF...a 2.2 does not consume 18Kg of air per hour at idle.

This is backed up by the inability to rev and the lean exhaust code.

Vx part number is 90530463

Alternatives here but, avoid the second hand ones

At full temp idle, its around 8-10kg iirc...

Yep.....this was huge and fluctuating...it even hit 22Kg per hour at idle!

I already know the answer, as its you, but for the sake of following proper diags, was the throttle closing (or nearly closing as its DBW) properly?

Yes, throttle position was all spot on.....and I even removed and cleaned the throttle body and breathers to be totaly sure (which were pretty gummed up)

Has to be MAF or its associated wiring then imho - I'm happy to make the assumption that the ECU is fine due to their history of reliability.

thank you mark for last night , going to get a new sensor then hopefully all be good ,
 car at my dads now as when the eml light came on just coasted in to side of road ,

 i shall let you know how i get on with it . :y

so you took an omega to carlton?  vauxhall did it the other way round lol.

Did the same search recently for my car and came across the above. Genuine Siemens part, which I thought was good considering my local stealer had quoted me £112 the same day for the same part, (even Dick Turpin was decent enough to wear a mask when robbing his victims. this bloke had more 'front than a row of shops' and wore a badge with his name on, so I knew who was 'robbing me)
