Urgent MOT question
« on: 24 March 2010, 16:35:23 »

My estate's rear centre belt has failed.  If I remove it completely, together with the anchor part, will the car pass an MOT?

I think I also need to know how many seats the Omega 'officially' has.  My V5 doesn't say.

Any thoughts?

My guess is that it will fail. It has 5 seats and therefore requires 5 seatbelts.

OFFICIALLY.........anything "fitted" must be functional.

however, it doesn't specify how many seats on my V5, so.........it should pass if you remove it.
My m.o.t buddy says he would pass it if he was the man concerned.
