car still not starting

hi guys back again after some abscence still have problem with my motor. NEW crankshaft sensor from vauxhall PART NO. [90458251] will not start car .Today i took sensor from my old sri 8valve and it started although runs very badly so can someone tell me why vauvhall replacement isnt even allowing my car to spark please help guys.

i broke my mind reading gadget other day, what engine do you have? Assume its 2.0 for a 8v Cav sensor to remotely work

crank sensor is very rare failure on 4pot, have you had codes read?

yes my mate came over with his machine and it said crank sensor faulty hence new purchase from vauxhall. guy at counter says that 90458251 is only one he does for my car but it dont work.

can you list all the codes that were read? Things like failing cam sensor, which is much more likey on 4pot, can cause other random codes

no sorry dont remember codes but it did list AFM which i replaced with brand new one and have also replaced new coil pack.

just been to my local vx dealer explained the situation . cant believe they cant help ,nothin else they can do for me .so where do i go from here HELP PLEASE.

I've seen hardly any fail! Its always cam! Both our 2.2's never had crank sensors go but cam...

You will curse when your crank sensor fails, and ask why didn't GM make it as easy as a V6 one ;)
