hi all
i have a 2000 omega 2.5 just replaced the steering idler arm becouse there was play in it and it drove all over the place ive put a new idler arm on and there is still some play in it where the idler arm mounts to the body. could this mount be the problem if dose any one know whats it called and how much they are.

Mine was shot last year - Failed the MOT.

Rushed on the net and ordered one from LMF.

Rushed fitting it to the car early hrs in the morning, and took it straight in for the retest... Failed again!

MOT bloke laughed and said 'its worse than before!'

Went to VX and ordered the mounting bracket (not cheap think it was about 65 quid). Few days later it arrived - Only to find that it was the cheap new arm that was causing the problem.

VX wouldn't give me a refund on the mounting bracket (still got it, so if you need one let me know!). And I ordered a GENUINE idler arm.

Fitted it to the car, took it back for the retest, and she passed.

hi i got it from ebay. i think its the arm i will need to get one from vx dose anyone know how much vx charge for one.
