Fitting tailgate spoiler
« on: 18 April 2010, 12:49:17 »

How do you fit a rear spoiler to an estate rear hatch?

If i drill the holes for the 2 studs,1 on each end of the spoiler, the studs will come through between the 2 skins on the hatch and i won't be able to fit the nuts onto the studs and the studs aren't long enough to come through both skins so as the nut can be fitted behind the plastic trim that runs around the inside of the hatch and i can't change the studs for longer ones as they are moulded into the spoiler.

I might be having a blonde moment hear but can't find a logical way around the problem, it's begining to do my head in now  :-[
