when i start my car until she warms up it makes a ticking noise. what could this be

Possibly an exhaust manifold gasket starting to blow or a faulty cam follower.

my f/l 3.0 has done this for the last 2 years / 60k miles. I've stopped worrying about it now.

could be injector opening and closing

Could be lots of thing so wait and see if it gets worse.if so might get better idea as to the cause
