Warning light
« on: 01 May 2010, 16:19:51 »

Hi guys, and ladies,

looking for some help on a really niggly problem. I have an 02 cdx omega estate. This vehicle is serviced every year. The vehicle generally runs well, however I have just recently had the Exhuast emissions, engine electrnics, immobilizer warning light consistantly coming on.

This came on a few months ago and we thought it may have been the head gasket cuasing the problem, this was fixed and a new manifold also replaced. This seem to cure the problem for a short while. Car was running much better, although it still seem a little lump on tick over.

A few days after getting the car back the warning light came on again. I took it back to my mechanic who placed it on his diagnostic machine and the fault showed up with something to do with the throttle valve. Sorry for the brief fault description. Anyway he cleaned out the throttle valve and sure enough no warning light. Problem solved I thought.

Today, 5 days after he cleaned the throttle valve the warning light is back again. I'm going to get him to check it on Tuesday but just wondered if any of you guys had any similar problems or any ideas.  I have to say when the light is on there seems to be no reduced perfomance in the car, other than the lumpy tick over.

Hope you can help
