Hi guys, is there anyone out there that has a cambelt locking kit and would gladly help me change my cambelt and water pump in the not to distant future, i dont mind travelling to far!!

also which is the best kit to use??
vauxhall original @ £135 + VAT (not received trade card yet)
Contitech         @ £92 + VAT
SKF                 @ £92 + VAT

conti for me, but skf are fine i believe, both supply GM anyway. GM on tc are about 110 for my 3.2 so the card wont help so much on this item.

Any gates/conti/skf should be fine.  The prices your are being quoted are too high though.

i have just had a look at euro car parts and they want

conti £90.28 Inc VAT
skf £90.48 Inc VAT

the stealers want £108 + VAT (126.90 inc) for the timing belt kit with a TC....

the price from the stealers was what i was quoted yesterday from eden exeter, will get a price as soon as the TC comes through!

now for the help......

Find another factors rather than ECP ;)

hi. I just done mine and got it from Vaux-World on fleabay its cheaper but i have had no problems with it heres one for sale now item number : 370303670372

I got mine from buypartsby. Good quality and inexpensive. I would second getting the OOF cambelt DVD.Excellent piece of work.

Don't try it without the correct cam locking kit.

You could get the cambelt kit from Autovaux who also do locking kit hire.

Another vote for the DVD; I couldn't have done the job without it... :y
